What is a static UPI QR code?
A static UPI QR code is a payment QR that includes the payee UPI ID, payee name, currency, and optional note, but no fixed transaction amount. After scanning, the payer types the amount inside their own UPI app.
This format is useful when the amount changes from customer to customer. A shop counter, food stall, donation desk, tuition collection, or event desk can reuse the same printed QR card instead of generating a new QR for every transaction.
Best for counters
Print one QR card and let customers enter the final amount after scanning.
Reusable
The same QR can be used repeatedly because the amount is not encoded.
Still needs testing
Always scan the QR before printing to confirm the UPI ID and payee name are correct.
Static QR vs fixed amount QR
Use a static UPI QR when the payer should enter the amount. Use a fixed amount QR when the amount is already known, such as an invoice, booking fee, class fee, or order total.

Static UPI QR FAQ
Can a static UPI QR work without an amount?
Yes. A UPI payment link can omit the amount field. The payer enters the amount after scanning.
Is a static UPI QR the same as a dynamic QR?
No. A static QR contains reusable payment details. A dynamic QR is usually generated for a specific order or transaction by a payment system.
Can this page confirm the payment?
No. Payment confirmation must come from your UPI app, bank account, PSP, or payment gateway.
