What is a UPI payment link?
A UPI payment link is a URI that starts with upi://pay and includes payment request fields. Common fields include pa for payee address, pn for payee name, am for amount, tn for transaction note, and cu for currency.
When a compatible UPI app opens the link, it shows the payment request to the payer. The payer still reviews the details and approves the payment inside their own app.
Copyable link
Use the generated link in messages, emails, or buttons where UPI app deep links are supported.
QR ready
The same link can be encoded into a QR code for scanning.
Browser-based
The link is generated locally in the browser from the fields you enter.
Payment link vs UPI QR code
A UPI QR code is usually the same payment link encoded as a scannable QR. Use a direct UPI payment link when the payer is already on a phone. Use a QR code when the payer scans from another device or a printed card.
