How invoice UPI QR codes work
An invoice UPI QR should usually include a fixed amount and a short transaction note. The payer scans the QR, sees the business name, UPI ID, invoice amount, and note, then approves the payment in their UPI app.
This is different from a reusable shop counter QR. An invoice payment usually has a known total, so encoding the amount helps reduce manual typing and makes the payment request easier to review.
Use the invoice total
Enter the final amount payable after tax, discount, delivery, or other charges.
Add a short reference
Use the note field for invoice number, customer code, or payment reason.
Reconcile separately
The QR request is not a receipt. Confirm settlement in your bank, UPI app, or gateway.
When to use a gateway instead
If you need automatic invoice status updates, payment receipts, refund workflows, reconciliation dashboards, or accounting integrations, use a payment gateway or bank/PSP solution. This page creates the QR request only.

Invoice UPI QR FAQ
Can I put an invoice number in the UPI QR?
You can add a short invoice number or reference in the note field. Keep it concise because UPI apps may display limited text.
Can this page mark an invoice as paid?
No. The page does not connect to your bank or accounting system. It only generates a payment request.
Should every invoice have a different QR?
If each invoice has a different amount or reference, generate a separate QR so the payment request matches that invoice.
